Hi everyone! Jill and Scott and just got back from our CPPA (CT Professional Photographers Association) Annual Convention today! We had a great 4 days of listening to fantastic speakers from around the country and palling around with our photographer friends! What a meeting of over 100 creative minds! Wow!
The Annual Print competition was incredibly exciting. Jill had entered the competition with a number of images and 2 images recieved the "Award of Expert" blue ribbons (titled "GLENN MICHAEL" and "FROZEN"), while 4 others recieved the "Award of Excellence" (titled: "FAITH", "DEJECTED", "WINTER'S QUILL" and "OVERHAND SERVE". Both "Glenn Michael" and "Winter's Quill" had just recently won BEST IN SHOW in their respective categories at the CPPA quarterly competition! My heart rate must have been about 200... I was so excited!!!!!

Our goal this year is to get some Senior Class of 2010 images entered and take home some BLUES!!!! We're going to be scouting around for Senior Models for the class of 2010, so get ready! We're going high fashion this year! We are getting pumped up for a whole new look!
Another exciting event was that Jill was appointed to the Executive Board of the CT Professional Photographers of America (CPPA) as their Vice President of Records. Jill had recieved her Professional degree of CPP (Certified Professional Photographer) in 2006 and has since been very active in CPPA. Within the field of professional photography, only about 3% of photographers have their Certification (CPP) . It is achievenment reached by a combination of formal testing and image scoring/review.
Keep your eye out for our next project for Thairapy Hair Salon. A new twist on a old favorite! That should keep you guessing for the next few days! ;) Come back soon for the unveiling!
